Kidman joins Woody Allen pic

Cast includes Banderas, Brolin, Hopkins

Nicole Kidman will star in Woody Allen's next film, joining the already announced cast of Antonio Banderas, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Freida Pinto and Naomi Watts.

The as-yet-untitled film is produced by Letty Aronson, Steve Tenenbaum and Jaume Roures. It is financed by Mediapro, the Spain-based company which also funded "Vicky Cristina Barcelona."

Sony Pictures Classics will release Allen's next completed film, "Whatever Works," which opens theatrically on June 19, 2009.

Thanks for the news. Sounds like a great cast including Naomi. So they will get to work together. Or at least be in the same film. sunny.gif

This is awesome news!!! I bet one reason she's doing this is not only would she be working with Woody and Naomi, but Woody is known for shooting really fast, being able to shoot a film in five to six weeks.

that's because his films are basically just dialog... dialog scenes take less time...

I think Nicole would go for a film with a five-six week shoot and, thus, short time away from Keith and Sunday (although she would probably take Sunday with her). Not only that but the whole film wouldn't be resting on Nicole's shoulders with the cast above. I hope this is not just a rumor; it would be really cool if Nicole were going to be a part of the cast.

This is from Wikipedia:

Reports suggest that Woody Allen's next three projects will be filmed in Europe, in the summers of 2009, 10 and 11, respectively.

They also said Woody likes to shoot in NY and europe (France/Spain).
