 I was just doing a Google search and came across this article which is appearing in Australian newspapers today. I hope it's true! Kidman is due to appear in Luhrmann's next feature film - an epic love story with fellow Australian Hugh Jackman - to be shot in Australia later this year. And Keith will turn around and sing... "Come what may... come what may..." and come back to her and they will have fireworks and then run out into the street, which will be filled with singing, brightly-dressed dancers. Hmmm... this sounds more like the Daily Report than "real life"

Thanks Vampvan :rose4: I had not heard this but right now facts and non-facts are coming thick and very very fast and trying to verify is hard.
Some non-facts are obviously not true, but this one at least could be true. Other than that I will let you know if I hear anything.

What will be on the marquee "The Urban-Kidman wedding: a Baz Luhrmann production"?
(Now that would just make it the perfect wedding of the century, eh?)Actually, if there's any movie director nowadays one would want to put in charge of a wedding, Baz would be THE one - there's none other more old-fashioned-ly, lushly and extravagantly romantic than he is. |

UPDATE: Baz Luhrmann was at a familiy meeting at Nicole's parents last night. Channel 10 say this could mean this rumour is true. I wil be adding some video to this site shortly where you can see what he was asked and how he answered. Van..if you are around in about an hour..your transcripting skills would be very much appreciated!

hmm, a Moulin Rouge 2, with the wedding! they'll have to change Ewan and Keith's faces though!
I hope this is true, but maybe not the best idea. I dunno! as long as they're all happy. -------------------- you really do have to learn how to loose everything before you can apreciate it

Sorry - I haven't been online for a couple of days since posting this article!
Foxy - I will try and do the transcript tomorrow, if I'm not too late? It is indeed very hard to distinguish between truth and rumour at the moment, but it would be great if Baz is indeed filming Nic's wedding. They are close friends, so it would be like a family friend being asked to film the wedding, and I'm sure Baz would be happy to oblige

I have finally had a chance to transcribe what was said about Baz in the various news bulletins showing him emerging from a meeting with Nic and her family a couple of days ago. It seems to me he might well have been involved in some way with the wedding ceremony - as I've said before, I'm sure he would have been happy to oblige
Reporter Angela Bishop had this to say: "But it was the presence of Baz Luhrmann who will soon direct Nicole in a movie co-starring Hugh Jackman that really had the crowd buzzing. The fact that Baz Luhrmann was present at this otherwise all family meeting has lead to some serious speculation that the great director is somehow incolved in the creative direction of the big day." Angela - "Baz, are you involved in the organistaion of the creative elements of this wedding?" Baz - "I am very happy to be a participant, that's for sure." Angela - "Is Baz involved in the big day, Nicole?" Nic - "Yes, of course" Angela - "It's his production is it?" Nic - (looking a bit annoyed, as it's her wedding!) "Well... he's one of the family." And as Baz was coming out the door before getting in the car, another reporter asked: "Baz, are you excitied?" And a grinning Baz replied, "How could I not be?" Awww.

That is kind of you. I was not really that serious but I appreciate it (As I said - I wanted to make sure you did not miss the video). Did you get my emails by the way?!! Well, if Hugh Jackman can sing at the wedding, then Baz most likely would have had a part to play I am sure. The fact he seems to have been the only one at the family meeting and Catherine did not appear to be with him, seems to indicate he was a bit more than a guest. It will be a great night I think

Hey, you know me, when it comes to any tidbit regarding Baz, I'm happy to transcribe. And after seeing his cheeky grin in the video, I do think Baz is involved and really hope we get confirmation of this at some point. I bet he's filming at the reception right now! hee hee!
