Thanks for the articles Nicfan22, Kiha, Skanky and Samantha Stevens huggle.gif I'm really excited about the news. clap.gif

To all NKU members in Italy, Nicfan22, Samantha Stevens, fanitaly, et al, I hope you get a chance to see Nicole in person. praying.gif She’s absolutely stunning in person, and I wish you best of luck in making your dreams come true. praying.gif I understand that the tickets to the Film Fest won’t be available for sale until the middle of Sept. Is that true?

Who knows maybe Meisha will go ...lol.  We should pay for her to go to Italy - heck we know she would keep the nasty press away  tongue.gif

Great news on the film.  Really hope Keith gets to be with Nicole; I know he has never been to Italy and I hear it is a beautiful place for lovers  beatingheart.gif

happy.gif lol.gif R@G, Consuelo and Kensy, I actually have travel plans to China around that time. Hmm… maybe I should swap my travel plans for a quick trip to Rome and Florence. looking.gif I’ve always wanted to visit Italy, and I can just exercise my airline frequent flier miles. October is also a great time to visit. thumbsup.gif I just don’t think I will be as lucky as I was with my little adventure in Shanghai, though. I can’t speak Italian, sob.gif so I won’t be able to snoop around that easily. As I’ve never been to Italy, I also won’t be able to navigate Rome as easily as I do in Shanghai, since I’ve been there so many times. I have confidence that our NKU members in Italy can get us great first person accounts. thumbsup.gif

This is another scan from today's La Repubblica. The article deals mainly with the "war" of Rome against Venice (Venice Film Festival starts tomorrow). It's embodied by the pictures of Nicole and Scarlett Johannson, who are the two ladies who will launch the two festivals on the opening nights (!).

La Repubblica-War of the Festivals

By the way, all this thing about the rivalry seems a bit silly to me (I live in Rome, so I'm extremely happy to have a film festival in my town!), but I understand there are serious issues behind it...

You are very lucky! I went to buy my ticket at about 3 p.m. of september 27th (I couldn't go in the morning because I was at work) and it was already sold out. So I bought a ticket for the second screening. Let's see if I can manage to get a glimpse of Nicole when she's on the red carpet (if there is one!), just before the Santa Cecilia projection...
