I hope I'm not posting repeat news, but according to this article, Fur is going to other festivals too. There's a couple of snippets about the film, and this is the first official article that seems to say the film is good.

For the Telluride Fest the list of movies that you can download on Adobe Reader is still the one from last year. It says the list for the 33rd Annual one will be available tomorrow (Sept 1st).

Nicole is apparently either in Canada or the U.S. now...she could attend the Telluride Festival showing of Fur. I'm assuming that Nicole either is still visiting Canada with her parents or she went from there to Nashville. As far as we know, she'll get to London when she gets there...there's no news of her going back to London yet, even though Golden Compass should begin rehearsals on 4 September, I believe.

Filming actually starts on Sept.4 but I am not sure she will make her way there for awhile considering she doesn't appear in the book until the very end of the third chapter, I guess it depends on how the script is written or in what sequence they shoot the scenes.

I was thinking the same thing but films today are seldom shot in perfect order.

How can Fur be screened before going Rome? Didn't they say it had to be one of the big premieres of Rome film festival? Now I'm a bit confused...

A world premiere is different from a simple premiere or screening, with a world premiere, the movie won't necessarily have to go from country to country premiering there when it opens but would have quite a big, well promoted premiere. Telluride is a festival that other festivals allow to show some of their films before it gets to them.
