I like this one much better, and I hope that will be the official one. The movie looks so much more interesting with that poster.

I confess my own hypocrisy - I'm the first to say "Why do they always put stars' faces front and center on posters, why can't they be more original?" but I've not warmed up at all to that razor/camera image. Interesting - for five seconds, but then? This is far more intriguing, implying Diane's work without literally reproducing it. And it conveys some of the eroticism that I sense from the trailer. I'm guessing that these photos are from the shoot by Mary Ellen Marks, (I'm sure there are a lot of amazing images from that shoot we will sadly never see), some of which already appeared in Vanity Fair; and need I mention that MEM did some wonderful promo photography for Moulin Rouge? |
