Thanks, I didn't realize it was just opening in 4 theaters. That seems pretty good for just 4.

Good, that's not bad at all considering how very low key it's been, perhaps now Picturehouse can push its promotion alittle more. Fur is the best opener this week (with per screen average).

That would have been hard to pull off considering its reception lol.gif.

indeed thumbsup.gif
I think it really did very well, considering the reviews and the lack of publicity. mr. shainberg and mr. downey haven't been very helpful either tongue.gif
it will be interesting once it is released all over the us.

Box Office for Fur?!

Thanks GraceMM

Limited release to 4 theatres. Will that expand? In Australia it is highly likely this will show in only a low number. Perhaps only 1 cinema in each state. Which means the chances of me seeing it is very low, being nowhere near a major city.

Let us hope the DVD comes out soon.

For weekend of 17-19 November, Fur earned $49,000 which was a percent increase of +74 percent. It was shown in 32 theaters (compared to four theaters previously) this past weekend. Total earned in two weeks is $90,000. It moved from #53 to #45 in comparison with weekend earnings of 122 movies.

Hopefully, this trend continues so there will be more theaters and more money earned per weekend. happy.gif

Whaa! sob.gif I haven't gotten to see it yet. Unfortunately, it's only showing in one movie theater close to my place and the earliest showing is at 1p.m. I've got to pick up my son from school at 2:30. I was hoping to sneak off with the baby and watch it while my 6 yr old was in school. Maybe I can convice Daddy to watch the kids this Wednessday. (Cross fingers) tongue.gif

Thanks for the info, Gracie. rose4.gif

Actually, this is trending downward. The 28 additional theaters that opened this past weekend only resulted in $49,000?? That's only $1,750 per screen. Combined with the 4 theaters that opened last week, that meant only $1,531 per theater.
