I've read many Fur reviews and in majority they are very negative.About Nic's performance the majority says "not great, but good". So in general i think we cannot be very optimistic about Nic's chance to get an oscar nomination...
But i would like to read your opinion guys about this, mainly those who saw the film already (i didn't see it yet, so i can't give mine...)

I'm a bit disappointed because few mounths before, everyone was saying she would definetly get a nomination, and now everything change...

what do you say guys?

In my humble opinion, Nicole gives a wonderful performance in Fur and therefore she absolutely deserves a nomination. But I don't think she'll get one because the film is too "artsy" and bizarre for the Academy (just like Dogville and Birth). As far as reviews are concerned, I don't read many of them, so I don't know what to say. So far I've read only a few Italian reviews, in which Nicole's performance is praised in every possible way. Unfortunately, Italian reviewers don't have much influence on Academy members...
Ciao
