And in a romance of a different kind, Margot at the Wedding details a family's unravelling after a woman (Jennifer Jason Leigh) decides to get married. Nicole Kidman plays the woman's sister, while comedian Jack Black plays the fiancee. Writer/director Noah Bambach's other films include The Squid and the Whale (2005) and Kicking and Screaming (1995).

Thanks Skanky. This is great news for Margot At The Wedding. This should get it great coverage.'

And movies can be screened at more then one festival, if I am not mistaken. So it may go to others.

Awesome! Thanks so much skanky. huggle.gif

Out of the two really big film festivals, Toronto and Venice, directors who usually want to start a "buzz" will always try to get their film into Toronto. This is great news for the film.

Thanks for the news Skanky. thumbsup.gif

A Canadian Gossip Show ETalk Daily said that Nicole would be coming to Toronto but I can't see how she can with her shooting of Australia at the same time. I suspect her co-stars will promote the film. I would love for Nicole to come to Toronto but I just can't see through the logistics of being halfway around the world. looking.gif

As the lead in that movie, Paramount will definitely try their very best to get her there. This is not just a premiere, it is a premiere at a MAJOR film festival. Baz knows how important it is because he may be in the same situation next year if NK is shooting a movie and he needs her to be there for a festival screening. This is something Paramount will need to sort out with 20th Century Fox and give her leave if possible. She didn't show up at Telluride last year for Fur and it didn't bode well for the movie at the event, it more or less came and went.

Also, TIFF is between the 6th and 15th and that will be the 6th week of filming in Kununurra so it might actually be the week major filming wraps. Something could be arranged between the studios. You never know happy.gif.

Skanky, I agree with you. And let me add this, for what it is worth. Keith is scheduled to be off the first few days of the festival. But, he's scheduled to be in Canada in September. Yes, it's western Canada, but still it could be that Keith and Nicole could journey together during that time. Based on all that I have heard lately and the schedule for Australia, I wouldn't be surprised if Nicole did make it to Toronto. Just thinking out loud!

I was just thinking about that, rosewood54. Keith has a break in his tour schedule from August 20 - Sept. 10, with tour dates on Sept. 11, 13, 14, 15 in the US before heading to Canada.

And the Toronto filmfest is Sept 6-15. I wouldn't be surprised if Nicole and Keith travel back here together. praying.gif

Thank you, Meisha! I was thinking that I was being a little naive. But it seems clear to me that this could work in a good way for both of them...and we know that they strive to be together and be there for one another as much as possible. beatingheart.gif And it would be great for the movie!

Thanks, Skanky. I hope they can both get to the TFF, so that they can be together a little more, and so that Nicole can help promote the film.

Great news. Thanks skanky rose4.gif Whether Nicole can go or not at least it will get the coverage. The last Toronto Film Festival she attended was for "The Human Stain" and one of the Canadian reporters was not too kind to Nicole in general I thought. So it would be lovely to go back with Keith and perhaps blot out that man!

I see everyone has it worked out...tying in Nicole and Keith's schedules lol.gif we shall see...we shall see.. happy.gif
