That´s what I thought when I read it the first time. I was really surprised (positively) because I thought it was dead. There are rumours about that since 2005.

I think it would be a great film though (and the perfect warlord: Denzel Washington)

If this is still on the boil and Nicole is still on the wish list, then I admire the optimism of Tony Scott! clap.gif

Thanks for the book cover nickufan.

Thanks, Nickufan, for the information! flowers3.gif

I agree with you, Foxy; I admire the optimism of Tony Scott also. Since Keith and Sunday are first on Nicole's priority list, she has been very selective about projects she'll take on. Tony Scott would be fortunate if Nicole is willing to take the role in Emma's War (presuming the project might be a "go").

Right - this is at least 4 yrs old idea ....?

But I doubt she would go for this - I have read the Book - it is not too dissimiliar to "AUSTRALIA" in plot -

I'd prefer her to back to Wong Kar-Wei (clearly a genius)

...am a little surprised to see this project re-surface

I really like the story...the main character seems to be a strong and and determine woman, just like Nicole is....
and I agree, Denzel would be great as the warlord!
