Thank you Livia

for these scans. This article is similar to the Vanity Fair article where Patricia Bosworth talks about the writing of the script for Fur.

...I wonder if Nicole is going to be doing any magazine interviews herself regarding Fur. So far she's been very low key.

That was what I was thinking, no Vogue or even VF this year, and Fur opens in just over a month. Shainberg hasn't done much either apart from the NY magazine about a month or so ago.

Nicole did mention doing the photo shoot in her London hotel suite so I am thinking there will be interviews coming up. She has Fur & Happy feet coming out.

That's right

. She has 4 projects coming up:
Fur
Happy Feet
God Grew Tired Of Us (documentary)
I Have Never Forgotten You (documentary),
I think this will be released this year, too.The interviews should be interesting.

As if right on cue to our thoughts on the lack on interviews...

AMID the confusing messages about Fur, the next Nicole Kidman film on the release schedule, comes a more definite statement from Kidman herself – she will not be available for interviews immediately before the movie's November 10 premiere in the United States.
"We were trying to move my shooting schedule around so I could be in New York in time. However, I have to shoot that day (in London) and it proved to be impossible for production to make it happen," she says in a statement.
At least that's perfectly clear.
What is more ambiguous is the content and approach of the movie itself.
Directed by Steven Shainberg (Secretary), Fur was expected to be a biography of photographer Diane Arbus.
Arbus was the photographer famous for her portraits of people regarded as being on the fringes of society.
Now, according to Variety magazine, the opening credits will carry a disclaimer: "What you are about to see is a tribute to Diane, a film that invents characters and situations that reach beyond reality to express what might have been Arbus's inner experiences on her extraordinary path."
Maybe Kidman just isn't keen on going all the way from London to New York to try to explain what that means.

Guess this also means she won't be with Keith at the CMAs that same week ...
Thanks for the snippet of new.

You never know, I think she will be there for the premier but just not be in NY all day to talk about the movie. I asked this before, why hold an award ceremony on a week night?

, besides the CMAs would be held at her hometown so she won't be travelling anywhere

.
Considering the screenplay for Fur was written in 2003 and was written as an imaginary portrait, it was never designed to be a biopic, we just assumed until we did some research.

That section of Erin Cressida Wilson's article caught my eye as well, archer. It strikes me as something a woman could say of another woman that wouldn't seem quite right coming out of the mouth of a man (at the risk of sounding entirely sexist.) Of knowing the body, the experience of being a woman and a mother from the inside out rather than the outside in.
And I was intrigued by her descriptions of her life during that period, her own inspirations, pregnancy and fear of losing part of herself, being intrigued with the neighbor upstairs. It made me wonder - who is this an "imaginary biography" of, Diane Arbus or Erin Cressida Wilson? Or both? (To me all stories are really the same story - the story of being "human" or of simply "being" - told over and over again with slight changes for place, period and circumstance. How well we connect with this story and not I suspect has very much to do with how well one version or another aligns with our own fantasies, fears, experiences, age and circumstances.)

As a matter of fact in the past several members have made the same observation, ebony, when she's had dark hair for other roles: Birthday Girl and The Human Stain are the first that come to mind. The two women are not identical to one another (facially) and have very different hair, completely different skin tones but they definitely resemble on another in any case.

Both certainly.
And we can add the member of the audience that projects oneself in the film...

The CMA's are Monday Night (6th)...so she could easily travel and be in London on the 10th (Friday) for the shoot....and yes, skanky, she'd be
'home' for the CMA's!

Seriously, the amount of traveling these two people do is astonishing to me. Of course, I have a paralyzing fear of flying, so I can't imagine being on planes as much as Nic and Keith are. I mean possibly Sydney, probably Nashville, London and maybe New York in the course of a weeks time. I'd die!
I, too, was hoping to see some new interviews, but maybe there will be some in the weeks following the release, as someone else said. Fingers crossed!
